Matthew G. Backowski
Attorney
MATTHEW G. BACKOWSKI provides specialized civil expertise in real estate and business disputes, including commercial contract claims, lender liability issues, lien and title disputes, judicial foreclosures, receiverships, and business torts. Mr. Backowski has litigated claims for a wide variety of clients, including banks, real estate lenders, contractors and public municipalities, in nearly every type of dispute relating to real estate and business law.
Mr. Backowski received his Juris Doctor degree from the School of Law at Pepperdine University in 2001, and is currently admitted to practice law in all State and Federal District Courts in California. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker, Chairperson of the Real Property section of the Fresno County Bar Association, a Judge Pro Temp for the Fresno County Superior Court, and is involved in a number of Central Valley based non-profit ministries and charitable organizations.
When Matt is not in the office, he enjoys time in the sunshine on the golf course and on the slopes in the winter. He is a husband, father of three sons, two pups, one bird and one bunny rabbit. He is actively involved in a local church community and loves to jam on his guitar.

Stephanie T. Kokka
Attorney
STEPHANIE T. KOKKA focuses her practice on civil litigation, with an emphasis on real estate and business disputes, and has represented a wide variety of clients involving lender/creditor liability issues, commercial contract disputes and general business matters.
Ms. Kokka received her undergraduate degree from University of the Pacific. She is a member of the Fresno County Bar Association, and the Real Property Law sections of the Fresno County and State of California State Bar Associations. Ms. Kokka earned her Juris Doctor degree from San Joaquin College of Law in 2016, and is admitted to practice law before all state courts in California, as well as the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of California.
When she's not saving the world one legality at a time, Stephanie a master underwater basket weaver and enjoys walking her pet Iguana, Lucy, around the neighborhood. She's an avid moped racer and an expert player in Fantasy Football.
